"Celebrate the independence of your nation by blowing up a small part of it," Apu from The Simpsons. The hell with something on this planet, let's blow up a comet. This reminds me of a skit on Mr. Show with Bob and David where NASA wanted to blow up the moon and a chimp got to push the detonation button. Anyways, a nice break from the usual here, I hope the mission is a success. I will be pretty interesting to see what happens. I am sure there will be many findings and probably even new questions. Let's only hope that they did the calculus right in figuring out all possible ellipses incase the comet gets knocking into a new orbit which will collide with the earth in 2086. ETA is 1:52 am ET on July 4.
