Let's hope this is the last Bush "Speech" post...
Bill O’Reilly lied yet again this past Wednesday when he stated that,
“According to a snap poll by Gallup, 74 percent of Americans thought the president's speech was a good one. The left-wing media, however, did not see it that way. The New York Times and the Los Angeles Times continue to pound the president for believing that Saddam's regime had any links to Al Qaeda or 9-11 and for fouling up the situation in Iraq in general.”
As usual, O’Reilly only keeps in the pieces that he likes which is part of his job and ideology. What he did not mention (not that he would) that it was not a random poll, but a "panel survey" of only 323 respondents. Of the 323, 50% were Republican, and only 23% were Democrat. In addition, anyone who knows anything about statistics is that you need at least a sample size of a random 1,000 or more to get a statistically viable result when estimating a population like that of the US of about 300 million. But that is science so Fox or O’Reilly could care less. Check out other fake scientific analysis or simply lies that O’Reilly used such as the “Swedish Gay Marriage Study” or the “Parish Business Review.”
