So much for the “Promotion of a Culture of Life” as 37 Republican Senators voted for testing of pesticides on fetuses. The 100% all-star Republican lineup voted against the Amendment (Boxer Amdt. No. 1023 ) S.Amdt. 1023 to H.R. 2361 (Department of the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2006 ) which would allow the EPA "to accept data from human tests on children, pregnant women, newborns, infants and fetuses...Even newborns of 'uncertain viability' could be tested." Included in the “NAY” votes was pro-lifers Rick “man on dog” Santorum and Bill “videotape diagnosis” Frist.
