The Republican Governor of Ohio, Bob Taft, has been charged with four ethics violations on Wednesday which only added to the Ohio GOP sea of corruption. Bob Taft is a great-grandson of Americas fattest President, William Howard Taft. Taft could face fines up to $1,000 and six months in jail for each conviction.
Prosecutor Ron O'Brien said the gifts included two golf outings worth $100 each paid for by embattled coin dealer Tom Noe. Noe is a Republican fundraiser whose $50 million investment of state money in rare coins launched the scandal that led to Taft's revelation that he failed to list golf outings on financial disclosure forms.
If you recall, Tom Noe was linked to Republican (and now Congresswoman) Jean Schmitt, who she adamantly lied about and denied knowing.
