As well all remember, Republican Senator from Tennessee was one of the many mixing religion and government on "Justice Sunday I." Though the Family Research Council did not invite Frist to "Justice Sunday II" on August 14th, even though it is in his home state of Tennessee. Tony Perkins decided to invite pro child sex slave labor advocate Republican House Majority Leader Tom DeLay.
Frist recently flip-flopped on his firm stance on stem cell research which has many of the right upset as they equate single cells the same as a human being. Family Research Council president and pro Iraq War advocate Tony Perkins said Tuesday on the group's Web site that Frist's recently announced stem cell stance,
"reflects an unwise and unnecessary choice both for public policy and for respecting the dignity of human life."
Perkins also has been annoyed with Frist for allowing a compromise on President Bush's judicial nominations.
The Aug. 14 gathering, entitled "Justice Sunday II: God Save the United States and this Honorable Court!" is the second in a series of televised church demonstrations.
