When he was just the topic du jour because of his question to Barack Obama back in the neighborhood in Ohio, that was one thing. But "Joe the Plumber" is now actively campaigning with and for John McCain, appearing on stage with him at multiple events, etc. He has become a part of McCain's campaign, like any other surrogate.
So here "Joe" is on TV just about an hour ago saying that people shouldn't vote for Obama because he doubts Obama's "loyalty to America".
I guess saying Obama reminded him of Sammy Davis, Jr. wasn't bad enough. But isn't it time someone ask McCain whether he's really willing to associate with this extremist?
Now we know you left-wing liberals will pretend to be shocked by this image of a hanged raccoon in western New York, but c’mon, this is one hot ticket! The sign says, as best we can read it, “VOTE NO BLACK DC’S,” meaning, “Do not elect octoroon Bob Barr to the D.C. City Council.” Good advice! Oh and because we are Fair & Balanced, here is an unwatchable video of some Britons blowing up a Sarah Palin effigy.
In case you missed it over the weekend, a minister who gave the invocation at a McCain rally in Iowa couched his prayer in terms I've never heard before: God's own reputation is at stake in this election, he said, because so many Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists around the world are praying for an Obama victory that if Obama wins, they'll think "their god is bigger" than the Christian god.
It conjures up bad Japanese movies, or the fanciful musings of 10-year-old boys. Who would win between King Kong and Godzilla? Between Allah and Vishnu? Does the Christian god have an unfair advantage because he's three in one? His "theological" take also suggests some influences from Greek mythology, but instead of angry gods hurling lightning bolts at one another, they're trying to throw an election one way or the other, which is almost post-modern in its own way. Talking Points Memo
"A man brought a stuffed monkey doll wearing an Obama sticker to a Palin campaign event in Johnstown, Ohio. Realizing he was caught on camera, he passed it off to a child he didn't know."
Fox "News" conducts a poll in a diner in PA, the vote was unanimous for Obama, but the Fox goon calls it a "split decision" which invokes laughs.
Update: Notice how the Fox goon was the only person to vote for McCain, I guess his vote is with 10 as much as everyone else. thus making it a "split."
John McCain never once look his opponent in the eye during the first presidential debate. All he did was make some weird smirks and star down at the ground.
