Proof Man Coexisted With Dragons / Dinosaurs

Posted by Frankie at 2/24/2006 01:00:00 AM

Liberal CNN (communist News Network) has a "news" article on how these wacko God hating scientist now believe that "Jurassic beavers" lived along with dinosaurs, or as we Republicans call them Dragons. These idiots once theorized that only small mammals were around during the time of the Dragons. Why will these elitist just admit that the world is 6,000 years old, oil is abiotic (not a fossil fuel, produced magically by God) and that Noah put Dinosaurs / Dragons on his ark...
WASHINGTON (AP) -- For years the mammals living in the era of dinosaurs have been thought of as tiny shrew-like creatures scurrying through the underbrush. Now the discovery of a furry aquatic creature with seal-like teeth and a flat tail like a beaver has demolished that image.

Some 164 million years ago the newly discovered mammal was swimming in lakes in what is now northern China, eating fish and living with dinosaurs dragons.

Only On Faux: "Have Dems declared war on America?"

Posted by Frankie at 2/22/2006 05:24:00 PM

As introduction to a panel discussion on the February 18 broadcast of Fox News' Cavuto on Business, the network aired clips of Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean, Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) accompanied by onscreen text reading, "Attacking capitalism: Have Dems declared war on America?"

Host Neil Cavuto opened the discussion by saying that Dean was "blasting drug company profits," Senate Democrats were "targeting big oil companies for windfall tax," and Clinton was "slamming Wal-Mart ... for its business practices." Cavuto then asked: "Now, by putting capitalism in their crosshairs, are the Democrats declaring war on America?"

Homophobia In The Hate / Advice Column

Posted by Frankie at 2/20/2006 03:37:00 PM

From dmsilev over at Kos:

I was flipping through the morning paper, and saw something rather interesting in the local version of "Dear Abby" (in Chicago, it's "Ask Amy"). The full question, along with Amy's slap-in-the-face response, is below the fold, but let me just say "bravo" to Amy Dickinson for her response.

This column appeared in the Tempo section of Monday's Chicago Tribune
Apology might help ease tension in neighborhood

Dear Amy: My husband and I have lived in our quiet suburban Denver neighborhood for six years.

About two years ago two young gay men moved in across the street. They've taken the ugliest, most run-down property in the neighborhood and remodeled and transformed it into the pride of the street.

When it snows, they shovel out my car and are friendly, yet they mostly keep to themselves.

Last month I went out to retrieve my newspaper and watched them kiss each other goodbye and embrace as they each left for work.

I was appalled that they would do something like that in plain view of everyone.

I was so disturbed that I spoke to my pastor. He encouraged me to draft a letter telling them how much we appreciate their help but asking them to refrain from that behavior in our neighborhood.

I did so and asked a few of our neighbors to sign it.

Since I delivered it, I've not been able to get them to even engage me in conversation.

I offer greetings but they've chosen to ignore me.

They have made it so uncomfortable for the other neighbors and me by not even acknowledging our presence.

How would you suggest we open communications with them and explain to them that we value their contributions to the neighborhood but will not tolerate watching unnatural and disturbing behavior.

-- Wondering
Amy's reply:

Dear Wondering: You're lucky that these gentlemen merely choose to ignore you.

Your neighbors could respond to your hospitality by hosting weekly outdoor "gay pride" barbecues and inviting all of their friends to enjoy life on your quiet suburban street.

I can hold out hope that they will choose to do this, but I'm spiteful in that way. Your neighbors sound much more kind.

In your original petition to these men, you basically stated that while you value them when they are raising the standard on your street and shoveling your driveway, you loathe them for being who they are.

The only way to open communication with your neighbors would be to start by apologizing to them for engaging your other neighbors in your campaign. Because you don't sound likely to apologize, you are just going to have to tolerate being ignored.
nice...

The Republican War On St. Valentines Day

Posted by Frankie at 2/14/2006 01:10:00 PM

If you thought the fake "War on Christmas" was bad, here is a real war against the traditional Catholic holiday, St. Valentines Day. These protestant "christian" republican conservatives desire to rename the holiday "Day of Purity" where:
The Day of Purity is a day when this nation's youth can make a public demonstration of their commitment to remain sexually pure, in mind and actions. In todayÂ’s culture, students are bombarded with the message that they should become sexually active at a young age and to experiment with their sexual preferences. The Day of Purity offers the youth who strive for sexual purity an opportunity to stand in opposition to a culture of moral decline.

When the youth of America stand up for sexual purity they send a message to parents, churches, communities, legislators, and the media that they want a different America. Now is the time to let your voices be heard. Be a part of the “counter-culture” -- be politically incorrect.

The Day of Purity is a step in the direction of positive change.
Please feel free to printout there "pledge card" and hand them out to all your right wing wachos pro gun, pro war, pro death penalty "christians".

Also of course, you have to check out the store for T-shirts and those always trendy rubber rist band things.

Please share with us in Jesus's name, your own personal "Day of Purity," abstinencence, or homophobia gay bashing story...
