"Christian" Pat Robertson Wants Assassination For Oil

Posted by Frankie at 8/22/2005 06:46:00 PM

From the "Who would Jesus Assassinate" file over at Media Matters. "Christian" Coalition leader Republican Pat Robertson wants the assassination of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. Probably the must deplorable, non Christian, rant, I have ever heard come out of the mouth of Republican Pat Roberts. Not only does he predicate murder, but he justifies it on the basis of oil and saving tax money by not going to "war". He even lies and calls the democratically elected president a "dictator." This is a must see video.
You know, I don't know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it. It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war. And I don't think any oil shipments will stop. But this man is a terrific danger and the United ... This is in our sphere of influence, so we can't let this happen. We have the Monroe Doctrine, we have other doctrines that we have announced. And without question, this is a dangerous enemy to our south, controlling a huge pool of oil, that could hurt us very badly. We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability. We don't need another $200 billion war to get rid of one, you know, strong-arm dictator. It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with.
And for the record Pat "Assassination" Roberts, Venezuela is a 98% Christian, with Catholics making up 96% and Protestants 2% of the population. Not that Pat Roberts would consider Catholics "Christians." Wow, 93% literacy too.

Over the years I have heard a lot of stupid things come out of Pat Robertson mouth, but this tops them all. It is right up there with JC's appearance on c2c last night.

Yeah, I think Pat Robertson an JC are on the same page... and Bush talks to Roberston weekly on the phone. Not to mention that Chavez has accused Bush of conspiring to assassinate him too.
